Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy? He's short (around 5'2") and slight, but has some muscle in his arms and chest from keyblade-weilding.

2. How old is he? Physically 15, but he's only existed for about a year.

3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch? He does tend to slouch a bit, and hunches forward when seated. He takes a low fighting stance.

4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities? He's pretty healthy and in good shape, though he's maybe not as active as Sora. His repeated encounters with memory loss might be considered a condition.

5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid? Roxas can be a little awkward or hesitant, but he's only clumsy on occasion. As a fighter, he's very agile.

6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror? He's good-looking, easily above average but not drop-dead gorgeous. His eyes are his best feature, and when he actually smiles it lights up his face. He doesn't think of himself as anything special, though. The only thing he's a bit vain about is his hair, since it's the main thing which distinguishes him from Sora.

7. Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred? "Sunny" is probably the best description for his complexion. He's a little on the pale side, but it doesn't look unhealthy on him, and he would probably tan well if he had any opportunity.

8. Describe his hair: color, texture, style. Blonde, but on the darker side and with an orange cast to it. It's spiky, but not as much as Sora's, and has a bit of a wave to it.

9. What color are his eyes? Blue. A very bright, clear blue.

10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features? If you changed his hair and got him to smile, he'd look exactly like Sora. Also, like Sora, he has enormous feet.

11. What are his chief tension centers? Across the back and shoulders.

12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit? Roxas dresses in black, white and red, and has a fondness for checkered patterns. He's relatively casual in his dress, though maybe a little better dressed than the average teenage boy. He definitely seems to have more fashion sense than Sora.

13. Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them? Both in his Organization uniform and in his standard outfit, his pants seem a little long for him. He seems perfectly comfortable in either though.

14. Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences? When he was in the Organization, he wore his Organization coat pretty much all the time. Then again, he didn't have a good grasp on what "free time" was for, back then. Since then he hasn't really had a "job" per se.

15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando? Boxers.

Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse? He doesn't have a deep voice, but he's definitely been through puberty.

2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate? He speaks quietly, and often hesitates or pauses to think before speaking. The more comfortable he is with someone, the easier he is in speaking.

3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics? His voice has a tendency to catch on some words for a second, particularly if he's uncomfortable about the topic. It's not exactly a stutter, just gives his speech a halting quality. His word choice is casual, though probably a little more adult than Sora's, an influence of hanging around an older crowd. He's also far more comfortable with cursing, though he generally reserves it for when he's actually upset.

4. What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency? He only speaks English, and doesn't have the broadest vocabulary. But he does usually ask when he comes across a word he doesn't know.

5. Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations? Nope.

6. Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words? He's definitely not good at speaking without thinking.

7. Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change? He's more on the inarticulate side. He doesn't always know what to say or how to say it, though he usually manages to get his point across, even if it's awkwardly. Oddly, he gets more articulate when angry.

Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart? Roxas is smarter than Sora, or at least uses his brain more than Sora, but he's about average intelligence. He's got decent common sense, but doesn't have much schooling and is a bit of a slow learner.

2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate? On the whole he needs time to think about things. If he doesn't, he tends to make poor choices, and he's very much aware of that.

3. Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical? Roxas may consider himself more logical, but he tends to go with how he's feeling, and in spite of his tendency towards melancholia, he's more of an optimist. He is, however, a bit of a self-centered thinker. It requires some effort or reminder for him to consider others' needs or how they might react to a situation.

4. What kind of education has the character had? ...largely non-existent. At best he has a 9th grade education, out of Sora's memories. He learned about fighting from the Organization.

5. What are his areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about? He's a keyblade wielder, and was at least one of the strongest in the Organization -- so he's an excellent fighter. He knows how to skateboard and has a pretty good singing voice, though he's unaware of it. He's open to learning pretty much anything if it's suggested to him, but doesn't expect he'd be very good at anything and doesn't tend to seek out new things on his own.

6. Is he an introvert or an extrovert? Introvert. Hands down.

7. Describe the character's temperament. Is he even-tempered or does he have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven? He has a melancholy temperament. He's fairly even-tempered, but has certain triggers and can be easy to pick a fight with if you push his buttons. He doesn't like when people talk down to him, or if he feels like he's being used. He can build up a lot of frustration over time, ultimately leading him to do something drastic.

8. How does he respond to new people or situations? Is he suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic? He tries to be friendly, but tends to be a little reserved around new people. Depending on the person, he can quickly withdraw completely and become guarded around them or even defensive. He actually deals better with new situations, since he's been to a lot of different worlds and, well, has even been a different person, though he didn't like it.

9. Is he more likely to act, or to react? He's more likely to react, mostly because he usually isn't sure what to do on his own.

10. Which is his default: fight or flight? Fight.

11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does he appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks? He likes good clean humor and good-natured pranks. He'll tease a little, and is more often the brunt of others' teasing, which he doesn't always handle well but doesn't resent coming from friends. He's less likely to appreciate jokes and definitely not teasing from strangers or people he doesn't know well.

12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does he deal with them? Does repeated and extensive memory loss count? He keeps a journal to help deal with that one.

13. What moments in this character's life have defined him as a person? Since Roxas is in a large way defined by who Sora was when Roxas was born, I guess his birth counts. But, being born without any of Sora's memories, at least initially, meant that meeting and becoming friends with Axel had a huge influence on defining his beliefs. His decision to leave the Organization, and the disastrous consequences of that, has made him more reluctant to make decisions without careful thought. The fact that his memory was stolen from him a second time, and he was made to forget and turn against his best friend, also made him lose quite a lot of faith in himself. Roxas doesn't put much trust in his own memory, and on the whole he doesn't think much of himself.

14. What does he fear? Becoming someone else. Primarily this means rejoining Sora and losing his individuality, but he's also uneasy about changing over time, and becoming someone that maybe his best friend wouldn't recognize.

15. What are his hopes or aspirations? Roxas doesn't think much about the future. Nobodies were never meant to exist in the first place, and as Roxas has only existed for about a year, it's hard for him to imagine a lengthy existence. Mostly, he just wants to be left alone to live a normal life, as himself.

16. What is something he doesn't want anyone to find out about him? He's not someone who intentionally keeps secrets, really. He would probably tell Axel just about anything. If there is anything he might try to keep people from learning, it's that he's a part of someone else, but more because he's afraid of being put back together than because he doesn't want people knowing.

Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with his parents. Not being born like a normal person, Roxas has no parents. He remembers Sora's parents, a little, but doesn't consider them his own.

2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like? Sora is technically the same person as him, but he's the closest thing Roxas has to family. Roxas considers Sora a better person than he is, and though he doesn't want to be Sora, he can't help comparing himself to Sora and feeling he doesn't measure up. He envies Sora and at first bore him some resentment for being Somebody, but now that he's been Sora and knows him, he doesn't blame him for, well, absorbing him. He just wishes they could have actually known each other, as two separate people.

3. Are there other blood relatives to whom he is close? Are there ones he can't stand? No relatives.

4. Are there other, unrelated people whom he considers part of his family? What are his relationships with them? To Roxas, friendship is a much more powerful bond than family and he doesn't understand people who define relationships in terms of familial bonds. He doesn't consider anyone family besides Sora, because he has no family besides Sora.

5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet? Axel is Roxas's best friend. They met the first day of Roxas's existence, and Axel bought him ice cream which they ate on the top of the train station, something which became a daily ritual. Unlike the rest of the Organization, Axel believed that somehow or other, they could be friends even without hearts, and though for a long time Roxas believed they were still just pretending, some part of that stuck. Unfortunately he was never able to truly appreciate Axel's friendship while he was alive.

6. Does he have other close friends? Not that he remembers. He considered Xion one of his best friends, too, but she's been erased from his memory more completely than anything else. He thinks he and Namine would have been good friends, if they'd had the chance.

7. Does he make friends easily, or does he have trouble getting along with people? Roxas generally gets along with people all right, but he's slow to make friends. He's been used a lot, and it doesn't help that both Axel and Sora's best friend have attacked him in the past, Axel actually with the intent to kill. To put it simply, he has trust issues.

8. Which does he consider more important: family or friends? Sora is his only "family," and he might outrank certain of Roxas's friends, but Axel would easily be more important to him. Moreover looking out for Sora is sort of like looking out for himself.

9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has he been married more than once? Single.

10. Is he currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse? Nope.

11. Who was his first crush? Who is his latest? Roxas has never really had a crush of his own. The closest thing would be his memories of Sora's feelings for Kairi.

12. What does he look for in a romantic partner? Primarily, someone he can be himself with. Even if that self can be a total jerk, which means his partner can't be too emotionally sensitive. Roxas likes people who can hold their own in an argument, even if he winds up losing. He also, naturally, wants someone who can see him as an equal. He has a weakness for redheads.

13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does he relate to them? If no, does he want any? Um, no. Roxas hasn't really thought about kids... at all. He doesn't believe nobodies can have children. The possibility of adoption hasn't occurred to him. He might, some years down the road, decide he wants kids, but only if he's in a completely stable relationship, and his partner may have to be the one to bring it up. With all his insecurities, he wouldn't consider himself the best candidate for taking care of anyone.

14. Does he have any rivals or enemies? Roxas has had a lot of enemies in his short existence. The Organization, DiZ, Riku... even Sora he attacked once. Pretty much everyone has been against him at some point.

15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does he fall on the Kinsey scale? Roxas is somewhere between a 4 and a 5. He's more physically attracted to guys, but he still thinks girls are pretty and could fall for the right one. He's unaware of being attracted to guys, though, thanks to Sora's interest in Kairi.

16. How does he feel about sex? How important is it to him? Sex is not essential to him by any means, but physical contact is important to him in a relationship. He still has his doubts about his ability to feel emotion, but he's never had any about his sense of touch. It's something that is indisputably real to him, so in a way it helps him to reaffirm his feelings about someone. He's very easily embarrassed about sex, and is unlikely to make any first moves... but he does have those teenage hormones to help things along.

17. What are his turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits? Arguments and rough-housing can be a turn-on. He doesn't have any major turn-offs, but I'm sure if you asked him to think about dead kittens or something it would do the trick. Bringing Sora up would probably be a real mood-killer. Also, he may seem like he'd be the submissive one, but once he gets past his embarrassment he becomes more assertive.

Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does he fit type? At DF we gave him and Sora March 28, making him an Aries... which is a pretty good fit for Sora, but less so for Roxas. While he has inherited some of Sora's adventurous and active nature, he's in no way gregarious and comes off as much more reserved.

2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in his life? Roxas has no real interest religion, though he does believe in the existence of gods and the afterlife--largely because, through Sora, he's been to an underworld and met a god. He doesn't, however, think there is an afterlife for Nobodies. He's not a very spiritual person either, but abstract concepts like the heart and the soul are a little more tangible in the KH world, and he does think about those.

3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it? Roxas has some generic sense of "doing the right thing" and not harming other people, but his temper has sometimes overridden that. He will readily attack others for self-preservation or even revenge, and he probably would have killed DiZ had he been able. He'd like to be the hero-type like Sora and protect people, but he's never proven very good at it.

4. How does he regard beliefs that differ from his? Is he tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent? Roxas has always been pretty rigid in what he believes about himself/Nobodies; that is to say, though that belief has changed over time, no one person has been able to persuade him to think differently. Likewise he has certain things he's come to believe about memory and emotion, but he's willing to let people believe what they will on those counts. As far as religious or spiritual beliefs, they aren't very important to him and though he'd be curious if someone brought them up, he'd never pry into them on his own.

5. What prejudices does he hold? Are they irrational or does he have a good reason for them? If anything, Roxas is prejudiced against his own kind. Though he doesn't agree with DiZ that Nobodies have no right to exist, he still feels that they're inferior to other people, being incomplete beings. But as far as anyone whole is concerned, the only thing that matters to him is personality or attitude. Having experienced worlds like Halloween Town, he's seen a wide variety of people and easily dismisses appearances.

Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is he rich, poor, comfortable, in debt? Roxas has never been in a position to worry over finances.

2. What is his social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected him? In the KH universe, Roxas was pretty much at the bottom. Although he did command lesser Nobodies when he was in the Organization, he was its lowest-ranking member, and Nobodies in general are considered abominations which have no right to exist.

3. Where does he live? House, apartment, trailer? Is his home his castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does he share it with others? The only home he's had was with the Organization, and it was really just a place to crash. Like the rest of the castle, his room was very sterile and impersonal. He has a much stronger attachment to Twilight Town, though he never actually lived there.

4. Besides the basic necessities, what does he spend his money on? Roxas has never really spent money on anything (except maybe ice cream), though if his time in the fake Twilight Town is any evidence, he's not a very good saver and can make impulse purchases.

5. What does he do for a living? Is he good at it? Does he enjoy it, or would he rather be doing something else? As part of the Organization, it was his job to defeat Heartless and collect hearts. He didn't particularly like or dislike it, but then he didn't really know anything outside of it, then. He'd definitely rather do something else, but has never had the opportunity to explore any serious alternatives.

6. What are his interests or hobbies? How does he spend his free time? Roxas is not very good at coming up with things to do on his own, and looks to others for ideas. He enjoys sparring, and he likes skateboarding. He could very easily become a reader.

7. What are his eating habits? Does he skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods? Roxas is a pretty good eater, though he's prone to skip breakfast if he sleeps late. He's never had alcohol, but might try it if a friend suggested it.
